Waterside Owners Share and Share Alike

When we share, we know we are not alone.

I have been through hell owning and living here at Waterside. My floor caved in and I was told that I was the only one with a problem. That was not true, mostly everyone on the first floor will have a problem because of structural deficits. If owners stay separate, quiet and in the dark, it is easy for management and our elected board of governors to lie to us and conquer us individually.

Did you know that Jose does work inside the personal apartment of Kathleen Tynan, the elected board president while he is on the clock? Did you know that the crawl space/basement is currently flooded with water and has been for a long time? Did you know the fire alarm system did not work to alert residents in their units for many  years and there could have been massive property loss and casualties?

What has been an ongoing issue in your unit? What have you complained about with no results and no response?

Did you know that if we unit, we only need a quorum of 20 unit owners to make a major change, like fire a board member or demand new management?

We do have power. What has happened to you since you began living at the Waterfront building at 1111 River Road?

  1. I own E-18 and was a former Board member but left when I moved out and rented my unit. I agree with that we need some additional changes to the Board as well as determine the best course for the management company. The Board needs to provide more transparency. Do you know when the next elections are? I have been asking Cervelli and not a word. I can’t even get my hands on the meeting minutes for past meetings.

    1. Hi E18,

An election won’t do any good because the votes are manipulated by Cervelli and the long-time board members. And, when someone new has gotten elected, they quit shortly therafter because no one can work with the current board members: Jonathan, Kathleen and Roberta are not going to allow any improvements or changes. And, they are not going to let anyone have a say in anything. We can make changes by creating petitions and getting 20+ unit owners to sign. We can also do a class action lawsuit to compensate us for association/maintenace dues paid but lack of services provided for those dues. This website is the first step to get everyone involved in sharing experiences and then the next course of action will become clear. Thank you for sharing and please share again!

  2. Hi Ginerva,
I just read your letter. CERVELLI hasn’t fixed my plumbing issue. They won’t even return my call. One time Javier said Kathleen/Board hasn’t given him approval. When the Building Inspector was here, she said that Xavier will take care of the problem. This backup is worse now and louder. I have been busy in an out of the hospital and caring for my husband who had major surgery. When he comes home, I don’t know how he will be able to stand the sound. Yesterday a plumber was in the building, I showed him sink and he said it could be a venting issue which would involve going on the roof and Cervelli has been told that might be an issue but they are not doing anything.
The building is deteriorating. We need to save it.
